Art Week

This week we have been doing lots of very messy Stone Age art.  To start with the children picked an amimal to draw. They then used charcoal to mark make to practice for enlarging their picture using the charcoal. After that they went foraging looking for things that they could use for paint, just like Stone Age man would of done. Next they painted a piece of paper with brown paint mixed with sand to give the effect of painting on a cave wall. Finally the children drew their picture onto their 'cave wall' with charcoal and painted it using the natural paints  they had made. I'm sure you will agree that we have some budding artists in Year 3.
