A fruitful week for St Benedict
Following on from the planting of hundreds of bulbs to create a natural meadow area on their school field in the Autumn, children, staff and parents from St Benedict's RC Primary School in Handforth have again donned their wellies and gardening gloves to plant 13 fruit trees and 60 Leylandii trees on their school field.
The planting project has been initiated by Handforth Woodland Group, a motivated team of Handforth residents, who have come together to plant trees and shrubs all over Handforth in a bid to reduce the carbon from the atmosphere and offset the carbon dioxide we are putting into it.
