We were so excited to have a doctor come in and talk about their job, show us how our nerves work and how fast Miss Ogden's heart beats when you make her run!
She also let us try on surgical clothing and talked to us about germs and bugs, showing us how important it is to wash your hands frequently. The children had a great time and asked lots of interesting questions.
People who help us
As part of our topic 'People who help us' we have been visited by the community police, they came in to talk about their jobs, show us their equipment and let us sit in their police car. I am not sure if the staff or the children were more excited and everyone learnt something about their role.
On Friday the children sang the songs they had learnt about Harvest and how groups grow to the whole school and all their parents. They were even confident enough to sing them twice! We are delighted with how much the children have grown over the last few months.
During Geography week we flew to Australia, India and China. We baked, learnt new words, we began to understand different cultures and their tradtional stories and customs. It was a fun packed week culminating with Ffions mum taking to the Children about Germany. She told them lots of interesting facts, including that their most loved stories are from Germany. Then she gave us a variety of German foods to taste. The children had a wonderful time.'
